PDS Experimental High School was founded in 1958 and is among the first top 24 key high schools in Henan Province. Our school has a profound history of educational excellence. As a provincial model school, PDS Experimental High School is the only “champion school” as named by the Municipal Education Bureau.
The school has been steadily improving the quality of education and teaching. The number of our students that are promoted to top universities has been increasing year by year, and then improvement rate is among the best in our city. Our school has produced 17 provincial and municipal top performers in the college entrance examination. Liu Yanwei won the first place in the province, Wu Chunhua won the second place in the province and the first place in the Pingdingshan city. Zhang Shasha and many other students won the first prize in the national and provincial youth science and technology innovation competition, and were admitted to famous universities. "International Class" of Pingdingshan Experimental High School is an international education cooperative program which is approved by Henan Provincial Education Department and jointly organized by Pingdingshan Experimental High School and Columbia International College. This program recruits 100 junior graduates from across Henan every year.

International Class is for students who are interested in going and intend to apply for internationally renowned universities. Graduates can apply for well-known universities abroad directly regardless of TOEFL, IELTS scores. Also they can continue their senior three and participate in the National College Entrance Examination.
